# 3. Characteristics and Runes

Roll or pick a set of characteristics and skills category modifiers from the Characteristics table that best suits the choice of occupation, established in Step 2, or roll and let Fate decide. Inclination describes average traits that someone with this configuration of Runes might have but can be ignored or modified as the player sees fit. Modifiers from the Runes have already been figured into the characteristic values: no further modification is required.

The Manipulation skills category modifier also covers all weapon skills.
